Privacy notice
Desi Mohalla is a small service that answers questions on WhatsApp about Indian businesses, home sellers and events in Singapore.
What we store
- Your WhatsApp phone number.
- The messages you send us and the replies we send back.
- Whether you opted in to festive alerts.
- If you share a location, postal code, MRT station or area, a rounded location (about 100 m) kept for 24 hours, and the area you tell us you live in. We don't store your exact coordinates in our logs.
Why
To answer your questions and to improve the service (for example, finding out which questions we can't answer yet).
Who processes it
Twilio and WhatsApp (Meta) carry the messages. Amazon Web Services (Singapore region) stores our data. Your message text and, when relevant, an approximate area are sent to Anthropic (USA) to generate the answer. We do not sell your data and we do not share personal data with the businesses listed.
How long
Pilot-phase data is deleted by 31 March 2027 unless the service continues, in which case we will tell you.
Your choices
Reply STOP to Desi Mohalla at any time and we delete your phone number, session and message history. You can also email hello@desimohalla.com to ask for access or deletion.
